210 French Patinated Bronze Art Deco Sculpture Satyr and Fawns Ary Bitter

Magnificent Art Deco Sculpture from Circa 1935 by Ary Bitter (1883-1973). This majestic and large piece is very striking and depicts a Satyr with two Fawns drinking.
Incised 'Ary Bitter' and with two foundry seals for 'Suss Fres Paris' and incised Suss Fres edrs Paris cire perdue', on a wooden plinth base. The modeling of the piece is fluid and detailed, highlighting the texture of the fawns' fur and the satyr’s musculature. Bronze, a material frequently used by Ary Bitter, gives the sculpture a rich patina that enhances the interplay of light and shadow, bringing the scene to life.
The composition conveys a sense of both playfulness and mythology, illustrating Ary Bitter’s fascination with wildlife and his ability to create scenes filled with naturalism and poetic charm. This is a truly magnificant Bronze and comes with an impressive provenance. This bronze has resided in The South of France for many decades and will be soon in the front window of my gallery at 60 Francis Street where it will draw many admiring glances from all passing by. I was fortunate to locate it as there are not too many of these in the World.
